If you don't know Poynton centre, it's a "shared space", meaning pedestrians may decide to cross the road in front of you - take care!

From the centre of Poynton, go east along Park Lane, the main shopping road.

For the easiest route, with fewest sharp corners, follow Park Lane as it becomes Coppice Road and starts a gentle meandering climb.

When you have travelled 1.6 miles (2.6km) from Poynton village centre, turn left into Shrigley Road N, past a modern Church on the left, to a cross roads with the Boars Head on the left.

Go straight across into Green Lane.

When you come to a fork in the road, bear right into Carleton Road - Green Lane goes left.

52 is on the right just before a crossroads. There is plenty of parking outside.
